Andrew Tabler has over two decades of experience in the national security space across multiple sectors of the industry. Most recently, he was a senior member of a lobbying practice group where he led clients’ advocacy efforts on several defense and national security issues, including aerospace, onshoring critical manufacturing and supply chains, shipbuilding, critical minerals policy, nuclear energy, and autonomy. Andrew translates client priorities into executable plans and engagement strategies, advises clients on political engagement, and identifies and tracks legislation and regulations that will impact clients.
Andrew previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Senate Affairs in the Department of Defense. He led the Department’s advocacy for key defense priorities and programs, especially with regard to the annual National Defense Authorization Act, oversaw the confirmation process for all of the President’s senior defense nominees, and maintained relationships with key members and staff. While responsible for every facet of DOD policy, Andrew held special focus on acquisition and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, quantum computing and autonomous systems. Andrew continues to maintain strong relationships across the Administration, Senate, and House of Representatives.
Andrew began his career as a staff member on the House Armed Services Committee and is a former US Navy officer. A native of Kentucky, Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University and resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife and three children.
