An expert on technology, transportation, appropriations, financial services, and judiciary issues, Chris brings a combined 15 years of senior Capitol Hill and private sector legal experience to the Elevate team. Chris has been at the front and center of several landmark bipartisan legislation during his time in the Senate, where he served as a Counsel and Policy Advisor on the Senate Commerce Committee and the Aviation and Space subcommittee for former Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and most recently as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for the former senator.
Chris was the lead policy staffer assisting Sen. Sinema in her role as the leading Democratic negotiator on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (aka “Bipartisan Infrastructure Law”) negotiations, led the Sen. Sinema’s work on semiconductor investments in the CHIPS and Science Act, and more recently oversaw lengthy negotiations on the bipartisan border security and immigration bill with Sens. Sinema, Lankford (R-OK), and Murphy (D-CT). Chris led negotiations and drafted portions the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Chris coordinated Sen. Sinema’s work as she chaired the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Space and Science, the Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies, and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management.
Chris also served as a policy aide for former Senator Mark Begich (D-AK) and as a law clerk on the Judiciary Committee for Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY).
Chris is an experienced attorney and has advised clients on a variety of issues, including investigations, transactions, and regulatory compliance related to aviation, technology, transportation, and automation.
Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College. He earned his J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
